Fly Fishing Adventures with Faithful Pursuits Guide Service

As a child, I was always drawn to the peacefulness of nature. My family often took me on camping and fishing trips, and it was during one of these trips that I discovered my love for fly fishing. I was only five years old when I first held a fishing rod in my hands, and from that moment on, I was hooked.

Growing up, I spent every free moment I had on the river, casting my line and waiting patiently for a bite. As I grew older, my passion for fly fishing only grew stronger. I read books, watched videos, and practiced my skills whenever I could. I was determined to become the best fly fisherman I could be.

When I turned seventeen, I got the opportunity of a lifetime. I was offered a guiding job at Wood River Lodge in Alaska. It was a dream come true. Not only would I get to spend my days fishing in one of the most beautiful places on earth, but I would also get to share my passion with others and help them catch their fish of a lifetime.

My time at Wood River Lodge was a transformative experience. I learned from some of the best guides in the business and honed my skills as a fisherman and a guide. I also met people from all over the world who shared my love for fly fishing. It was during this time that I realized that fishing was more than just a hobby for me - it was my calling.

After my time at Wood River Lodge, I continued to fish and guide all over the country. I worked at various lodges and outfitters, always striving to improve my craft and share my love for fishing with others. But something was still missing. I wanted to use my passion for fishing for something greater.

That's when I discovered Blast and Cast Men's Ministries. Blast & Cast Men’s Ministries is an inter-denominational Christian outreach ministry that utilizes the common bonds of hunting and fishing to reach outdoorsmen. I was immediately drawn to their mission of sharing God's word through outdoor activities, and I knew I had to be a part of it. 

I reached out to Blast and Cast and shared my story with them and was accepted to their ProStaff. I am overjoyed and grateful for the opportunity to combine my love for fishing with my faith. So, keep an eye on the events calendar and sign up for event notifications to stay up to date.​
